Barrio Cantina is a vibrant open-air food festival taking place from 26 to 28 June 2026 at Kortrijk Weide. It’s a free and accessible event for all ages, offering a unique mix of global street food, tropical vibes, and upbeat music.

After successful editions in cities like Ghent, Bruges, Ostend and Antwerp, Barrio Cantina is now bringing its colourful setting to Kortrijk. Visitors can enjoy flavours from all over the world – from Peruvian ceviche to Moroccan tagines and Korean specialities. The focus is on comfort and atmosphere: expect long bars, plenty of seating, shaded areas for sunny days, and a smooth, no-token payment system.

During the day, it’s a true family-friendly festival with a dedicated kids’ village (open until 8PM). As the sun sets, the site transforms into one big tropical open-air café, with the well-known Polé Polé DJs spinning the best summer tunes until late in the evening.
